I'm not sure what I want to work on next, so I've been tearing out pages in magazines and catalogs and filling my sketchbook with quick collages and doing a corresponding line drawing then adding a bit of watercolor. It's a nice exercise just to get my creativity flowing while I decide what to create next. Do you have any methods or exercises you do when you're stuck creatively?

sugarcoated street art
How amazing is this cake piping street art by canadian artist Shelley Miller? What a crazy and fantastic idea. She does everything from intricate piping work to using royal icing to attach painted fondant tiles. (I think it's fondant, her website doesn't say.) What an inspiring way to brighten up some decaying and graffiti covered walls.

floral party
Such a beautiful shoot with art director Rhea Thierstein shot by the always amazing Tim Walker. Who knew roses could look so amazing in jell-o? These two also teamed up in this memorable shoot among others. I need to subscribe to Italian Vogue.

industry of one
loving this new website find: industry of one. It's "a periodical on the wears of work". They document people from different industries for a week in their life. The photography is amazing. I love seeing the diversity of each person. So fascinating.

Kate Tucker
Just discovered the work of Melbourne artist Kate Tucker. I am completely in love with the top piece entitled "Necklace" which is full of these beautiful bits of painted papers. Such a fantastic idea. I also love her brightly colored works on paper. So fun with their cheerful color palette and geometric lines.
images from the design files and the jealous curator.

homemade phone
How adorable is this DIY cross stitch iphone case? While I still have a flip phone from 2005, if I ever got an iphone I would be very tempted to get this. It makes me feel nostalgic for all of those cross stitch sweatshirts and pillows my aunts made me as a kid. You can buy one here witha pattern or you can just make up your own. (which is more fun anyway.)

I want to introduce you to a wonderful sculpture artist who happens to be a friend/co-worker of mine. Check out her amazing artwork.

I love the contrast of the chocolate brown and the pastel pink.

this is probably my favorite piece of hers.
