just discovered these gorgeous organza butterfly wings necklaces made by Turkish artist Derya Aksoy. I love the transparency of the organza and all of the layers of the wings. I would love that last one even just with the cream and black wings by themselves. The blue in the first one is incredibly striking though. Just came across this amazing Parisian jewelry designer Lydia Courtielle via pintrest. Her work is so lovely. It's very regal and glamorous yet has a sweet & sinister quality to each piece. That Parisian skyline tiara melts my heart.

I went to the American Craft Council show this weekend with my mom and my husband. I usually like about 30% of the stuff presented. I got a clay hand to go with my collection of hands (I should photograph that...). I regret not a piece by this wonderful jewelry artist Ashley Buchanan. She hand cuts the pieces out metal and leaves some raw and others she powder coats. When I have some extra money I'm going to have to get one of her cuffs. They're so gorgeous! She also has an etsy shop here.

I just stumbled across this amazing jewelry line called triian which is a collaboration between Trisha Brookbank and Brian Burkhardt. They approach each piece as a wearable sculpture. I can't decide which is my favorite, but I think I'm leaning towards the peppermint green bangle. I love the decay of each piece and the little sparkles hidden in the cracks. So fun!

how much I love this ring?! I found it on tumblr, which led back to flickr and after a bit of perusing I finally found it on etsy but it was sold back in june. Boo! Please make more. I would buy that ring in a heartbeat.
