Remember those Jason Schwartzman polaroids I posted awhile back? Well band of outsiders picked another favorite actor (the imaginarium of dr. parnassus, kid a, i'm here & never let me go) Andrew Garfield. That boy is just too adorable.

Last year, my husband and I started a little herb garden from seeds. This year we've decided to add to that with a few more herbs and some vegetables, (two different kinds of squash, zucchini, and peppers, maybe some spinach or arugula). A bunch of people I work with are doing it too so I'm excited to be able to share veggies with them. These plant markers from daisychestnut would make the perfect addition to a quirky garden.

movie stills: red desert

You know those movies that are so beautiful you could just as easily watch them on mute? Well, since I got in kind of a rut with my movie interiors I though I'd start a new series of movie stills for movies just like this one I watched this past weekend. I am a huge fan of Michelangelo Antonioni after seeing Blow-Up and then L'avventura and L'eclisse. Red Desert lived up to my expectations. It was so beautifully shot, just like looking through a book of photographs. With the foggy atmosphere mixed with the industrial and rural setting combined with 1960's Italian wardrobe (and Monica Vitti's unusually beautiful features) this blew me away.
