Happy Halloween!

This is by far my favorite holiday. I just love being able to dress up and not have anyone think you're crazy. (that never really stopped before anyways). I'm carving my green and white pumpkins tonight and am still working on my costume. I hope it turns out well. Nothing much to post except a few new pieces. both at my etsy shop. enjoy!

daily collages

Since I finished my altered book, I've realized I miss doing my collages. So I decided to start doing daily collages in one of my old sketchbooks. I started this years ago and stopped after a few days. Hopefully, I will keep this one going longer. Here's a few that I've done so far:

So, my husband and I went up to the mountains yesterday. We had to change our plans last minute because traffic was so bad. Anyways, we went to the beautiful Amicalola Falls, yet I was so into walking my dogs, I didn't take any pictures. There were WAY too many people there anyways. It would have been hard to get a good shot of anything.

I did however get several good shots of these amazingly beautiful field of wildflowers on the side of the highway. I made these three pieces, that I am totally in love with right now:

anniversary

Today is my three year anniversary. We're not celebrating until tomorrow though, (hubby has to work late.) Decided to post my favorite photos though. Such fun:)

encaustic pieces

I've been wanting to go back to making mixed media/encaustic pieces lately, but have really enjoyed doing photography. I decided to combine the two, inspired by my recent altered book and came up with this idea. I'm so in love with these. I'm going to have to go back to the thrift store and get some more used books so I can make more.
