Latest estate sale find. I knew about this one ahead of time so I came prepared for a bargain. I was so excited when I discovered this mid-century sofa in perfect condition and the perfect orange color for only $100! It reminds me a lot of my grandmother's sofa that I loved so much as a child and even more looking back on it as an adult. I love how it pops on the dark brown walls.
I also stumbled upon another estate sale this weekend that my aunt and uncle were having. I ended up with this awesome vintage wire basket that I hung on the wall for storage. It's perfect for hanging hammers. The best part, it was free!
If you live in the US, you should check out this website to find upcoming estate sales in your area. Most even show photos of what's going to be for sale so you won't waste your time with things that aren't your style.

Just found this beautiful photo spread for Sweet Paul Magazine by Deitlind Wolf. I love the colors and the nostalgic feeling of memories. Check out the magazine online for tons of great recipes and more beautiful photography as well.

Love this house and all of their vintage and antique furnishings. It's so cozy and warm feeling. Such a cute couple too.
Their neighbor's house. Again I love all of the antique furnishings and the art taped up everywhere. I especially like the quote wire sculpture by his front door. What a fantastic neighborhood! I"m pretty sure the artist is the same person who did this book cover but from what I can see the artist isn't credited just the designer. Not cool guys.
I adored this film. Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen were adorable together. The sets, costumes, acting, and cinematography were all beautifully done. I know this isn't wide release yet, but I was able to watch it on demand. (I love when they do that!)

After weeks of searching at every thrift & antique store & estate sale I could find I finally found an affordable and perfectly sized sewing table and an awesome mid-century chair to boot. The chair had this hideous blue and white striped fabric that had more of a country style. To my extreme surprise and delight when I removed the fabric to recover it I found the original covering underneath in near perfect condition. Not bad for $5.
And because the table was a little wobbly I got it for $32. All it really needed was it screws tightened and few drops of wood glue. We've also found this awesome 1950's tufted leather and wood chair again for only $5 and an amazing mid-century dining table for $22. I am officially addicted to estate sales. I'll post more pics when I put the finishing touches on the room.
