inventive bookshelves

As my reading habits increase, the space on my bookshelves is decreasing. Here are several creative storage options I've come across lately.


I've seen people fill fireplaces with wood, but this is ingenious.






I'm not really a big fan of the rainbow color organization. I like the way it looks, but I can't organize my books that way. It would drive me nuts.

With the weather getting warmer, I can start to fully enjoy my screened in porch again. I love having parties out there in the summer. My favorite was one we threw for my sister-in-law as a "bon voyage" before she went to study abroad in europe. I need to have another party again soon.

ok, after seeing that adorable zooey deschanel commercial, I really wanted a new cute dress for spring. I've been looking for awhile, but the urge came over me last night when I couldn't sleep and I found the cutest dress (that's actually affordable!)

I just saw this adorable commercial starring the ever so lovely zooey deschanel. Makes me want to go shopping.

I have no idea who shot either one of these photographs. I really want to know who shot the one of the tiaras. So beautiful. I've had an obsession with tiaras since I was about 3 years old. If anyone happens to know the artist please let me know so I can credit them.

One more wisteria post. I went to pick my husband up from getting his car fixed and as we were pulling out a noticed a huge section of wisteria covering a fence behind dunkin donuts. (it's always in the grossest places...) Anyways, I immediately went home and got my camera. It should be gone by next week. I wish it lasted longer.

I went to trader joe's yesterday and they had some gorgeous ranunculus for only $6. Of course I had to buy the pink ones. (last of the flowers for awhile, I promise.)

my favorite time

My favorite two weeks of spring are happening right now. Wisteria is in bloom and it is creating a gorgeous lavender canopy all over town (especially on the side of the highway.)

I just love this.

I found this over at bliss and had to post about it. My grandfather built me a dollhouse when I was little and hand carved all the furniture to go inside. It's a white house with a pink roof and blue shutters. I loved it ever so much. This is just incredible:
