Small Business Saturday
Today is Smal Business Saturday so everyone either go out to your favorite small business or go online to etsy, society6, big cartel or one of the many other online artisan shops. Society6 is having free international shipping though Monday and they have now added these lovely new pillows. The above is a selection from my shop.
And for anyone in the Atlanta area I will have work along with many other great artists and crafters at the Indie Craft Experience Pop-Up Shop which opens tonight inside Criminal Records from 6-9pm. There will be live music and the first 100 attendees will receive free swag bags so come on out!

restoration hardware
to be honest, I had kind of forgotten about restoration hardware. That is until I found their most recent stock catalogue at my parent's house a few weeks ago. They have so many amazing new things now! My favorite has to be all of the lighting fixtures. I would love to have a place to hang the vintage birdcage chandelier. I have been looking for some small pendants to replace the ugly blue ones that hang over our breakfast bar and those milk glass ones are heavenly...

my mixed bag
Hope everyone had a lovely Halloween! Just finished posting my new 2012 calendars. I had a lot of fun making them this time. Not sure yet which one is my favorite, but probably the polaroid one. Can't believe it's already November!

gimmie an "M"
As you may or may not know, I am obsessed with lights, especially this christmas or circus/fair variety. I've been seeing more and more of these vintage sign letters popping up in design magazines & shows. I found some that people have made from recycled metal, but I want the real thing. I've been on the lookout for either an "M" "J" or a "K". I'll let you know how that works out...

homemade phone
How adorable is this DIY cross stitch iphone case? While I still have a flip phone from 2005, if I ever got an iphone I would be very tempted to get this. It makes me feel nostalgic for all of those cross stitch sweatshirts and pillows my aunts made me as a kid. You can buy one here witha pattern or you can just make up your own. (which is more fun anyway.)

new shoes
As soon as I saw these shoes I fell in love. I never knew one shoe could have so many amazing things all rolled into one! Not only are they extremely well made and comfortable (I didn't even get the break-in blisters) they are nude which go with everything and they have little jewel and spike embellishments. When I was in middle school I put spike screws in the laces of my boots. I've never spent this much money on shoes before, but these are so badass. And you know who convinced me that I should buy them....my husband. Yep, I'm a lucky girl indeed.
(oh and if you get them from HSN you can pay from them in interest-free monthly installments which is what I did.)

rainbow bright

My favorite piece has to be that gray lace jacket. Does Jenna Lyons know how to style or what? Those messy side ponytails and bright red lips.
Seriously j.crew stop it. My pocketbook hates you.

Red Velvet
I just came across the most adorable shop full of vintage housewares, vintage clothing for men and women, a collection of children's handmade clothing and if that wasn't enough a tasty looking treat shop. I need to go there!

on my wishlist

just discovered this AMAZING planner via daydream lily. I love how different every page is and the fun illustrations. The best part - it's cloth bound hard back in a gorgeous peppermint green.

oh my goodness
I am in love! I have a major obsession with light bulbs, which is sort how I got started doing photography in the first place. I don't know what it is about them that fascinates me so, but these are absolutely gorgeous!

Orla Kiely
Love this collection by Orla Kiely. I've always been a big cardigan fan and I absolutely adore the peter pan collars. Very lady like.

new shoes

I just love getting new shoes. This is my first pair in almost a year. They are techniquely a very early christmas present from my mom as I can't spend any extra money right now. I really hope my husband finds a job soon. (not just so I can buy cute shoes.) Anyway, I'd been wanting these for the past year or so and found these which I got instead. (Last pair available in my size too!) Now I can wear several dresses I had no shoes to go with. I love them!
