Happy Halloween!

I finally at the last minute decided what I'm going to be for Halloween this year. I usually have my costume picked out the day after Halloween the previous year! I remembered I have this old dress of my grandmother's that's black and white striped cotton with a white peter pan collar and cuffed sleeves that buttons up. I thought, why not braid my hair and get some black spray hair color and be:

movie interiors: 2001: A Space Odyssey

One of my all-time favorite movies. The sets in all of Stanley Kubrick's movies are insane, but I especially love this one. The bedroom at the end inspired the colors for our bedroom. I love all of the vibrant pops of color.

Seriously, it won't stop raining here. It's ridiculous. We were in a Level 5 drought last year and now we can't stop the water from coming!

I'm Back!

My house is still a good month away from being completely back in order, but at least I got my images restored and a new computer. (set up on my dining room table!)

I just went to Lexington, KY this weekend for my cousin's wedding. The drive up was gorgeous. I wanted to pull over every 5 seconds to take pictures, not very easy when you're going 90 mph! I did manage to get a few though so here's a few I've worked on so far.
