I normally don't wear a ton of color. Particularly pastels, but this collection from alice + olivia has me dreaming of wearing popsicle colors. This collection is so fun and playful. It's actually making me a little sad the warm weather is almost over. (not really. I will forever be in love with autumn.)

every since the royal wedding I've been looking more and more at hats. I just discovered this gorgeous line by jane taylor while browsing the net. They are such statement pieces and all beautifully crafted. I think my favorite is the sparkly copper one. I'm a sucker for sparkles...

I am SO jealous of this amazing Marie Antoinette party that the cherry blossom girl went to at Versailles. I think she lives in a fairytale and I want in.

Boardwalk Empire

At first I didn't think I want to watch this show. After my husband watched the first four episodes he convinced me that I would really like it. The first episode starts out typical Martin Scorsese style with a lot of blood and violence. Then it slowly adds in more plot and characters. The sets and costumes are some of the highest production value I've ever seen for television. The cast is spectacular with perfectly cast gangsters right out of dick tracy (without the stylized make-up). You simply must watch. Season two begins Sept. 25th!

so I found this amazing photoshoot with clemence poesy yesterday via pinterest. The source it led me back to had no photo credits, so I spent this morning scouring the web trying to find what this shoot is from and who the photographer is. no such luck. so if anyone knows, please let me know.

A few weeks ago I received my order from the black apple. In it was this amazing postcard collection of her painting series of alice in wonderland. Each one is so beautiful I almost don't want to mail them away. I am going to save a few of my favorites to frame. She had the originals for sale in her shop, but those flew off the shelves and now she's selling prints of each one in addition to this postcard set. You can see why she's the biggest seller on etsy!
