My brother and I decided to make my mom a photo book from pinhole press for christmas. So I spent all of last weekend going through her old photos. She has got some good ones! They look right out of a magazine. That one from camp looks like a still from The Parent Trap. I can't wait to see it all put together!

Marie Zucker has been one of my flickr contacts for awhile and her new series raspberry thighs is truly breathtaking. Part of it was recently published in N.E.E.T. Magazine. I love the juxtaposition of the worn walls with this elegant pastel colored deserts and clothes. Simply breathtaking.

homemade holiday

This year I'm very into a more Scandinavian homemade Christmas. I love the natural twig trees and handmade ornaments with a clean palette of whites, greens and browns. I can't believe there's only two more weeks to go!

the new girl

I was excited to watch The New Girl but after barely being able to make it through the pilot I kind of wrote it off. After that episode, Damon Wayans' son apparently left the show and it got a lot better. I watched the Thanksgiving episode when Justin Long began guest starring and have set my dvr since. I've always loved Zooey so I'm glad her show has picked up. Now I can watch her and her character's cute clothes and cute apartment every week.

Hauntingly Beautiful

Recently discovered this amazing artist Mercedes Helnwein. She does this amazing drawings done mostly from photographs she's taken herself, others from vintage photographs. She also collaborates with her brother Ali on some video work. He composes these beautiful tracks to go with her video. One truly talented family. (Not to mention their father...)

French Dresses

The French do everything better. Check out these amazing wedding dresses by designer Laure de Sagazan. The lookbook was beautifully photographed and if my french was a little better I might be able to figure out who the photographer was.
