Just discovered Louis Vuitton's 2012 Spring RTW Collection. All I can say is....wow. What a breathtaking show, with the enormous white carousel and candy colored confection-like dresses all topped off with the creepy Suspiria music. If I could pick one show to have been at this year, it most definitely would be this one.

dandelion ceiling

in awe of this amazing dandelion installation by artist Regine Ramseier. She hand picked all of these perfect little dandelions and hung them upside down to dry out, then installed them to hang from the ceiling. Amazing that none of them have lost their "petals". So lovely.

my mixed bag

Hope everyone had a lovely Halloween! Just finished posting my new 2012 calendars. I had a lot of fun making them this time. Not sure yet which one is my favorite, but probably the polaroid one. Can't believe it's already November!

big top

I've been meaning to shoot my big top for awhile and I finally got around to it yesterday. It's the second sculpture in my series of work I'm doing about the circus/fair. Isn't it weird how the polaroids turned out so whitewashed? People ask me all the time why I still use polaroid film when I can just alter my photos in photoshop. This is precisely that reason. The unpredictability. I'm almost done with my ferris wheel which I'm pretty excited about. I promise not to take as long to post photos of it.

(forgot to mention it's made out of wax infused paper and thread.)

movie stills: melancholia

Sorry for the lengthy post. I just saw this movie this weekend (3 times) and fell in love. I've been waiting for this movie to be released since I heard about it at the beginning of this year. It did not disappoint. This movie is so visually beautiful and the cast is spectacular. Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Alexander Skarsgard, Keifer Sutherland, Charlotte Rampling, John Hurt and Stellan Skarsgard were all perfectly cast in this fantstical film. It's out now online and on demand and will be released in theaters Nov.

ban.do headquarters

Doesn't ban.do look like such a fun place to work? All that sparkle and pizazz. I would certainly enjoy getting out of bed every morning to go to that.
