Back in the days of Dawson's Creek, I was never really a fan of Michelle Williams. Lately though, she's really grown on me. She's kind of just subtly transformed into this beautiful, fashionable woman. I just love her easy retro style. And I can't wait to see this.

white christmas
for the first time in my entire life, we had a white Christmas here in Atlanta! It snowed the entire day and into the next. The snow is still here! It was so exciting. I've been wishing for a white Christmas every year since I can remember. The only other one I've had was at my grandmother's house in Kentucky and it didn't last very long. Hope you all had a lovely holiday!

winter cleaning
With the day off last week (for ice...turned to water) and the two weeks I know have off until after the new year, my hubs and I have been cleaning and reorganizing out house. I love it! I love going through the containers you stuff random things in and cleaning it all out. I found a ticket stub from a show we went to in 2004 in our mail sorting box! I also have added many more polaroids to the hallway (notice I painted my stairs this summer too!) :
and I (as usual) couldn't wait to surprise my husband with his gift. (we weren't getting each other anything this year, but I didn't spend ANY money.) So we hung it on the wall next to his side of the bed. Remember our owl? I wasn't sure how it would turn out because I haven't really drawn anything besides contour line drawings in a long time.

really?
ok, I love anthropologie but some of the things they put out sometimes really bug the shit out of me. Example:
I'm sorry, but why should I pay over $2,000 for an easel that's already spattered with paint? That's what makes your easel yours. Trying to remember what you were working on when you that splotch of alizarin crimson on the neck. Are people so impatient know that everything has to be worn in right from the start?

hello mr. bear
A friend of mine told me about these amazing drawings by artist wesley berg. Aren't they incredible? My favorite is definitely the one with the chandelier.

Let it snow!
Well, it flurried and snowed a bit yesterday and now it's flurrying today and it's supposed to snow later. This is Atlanta right? Maybe I'll finally have a white christmas!
Photo from last year's snow. (in march!)

pop of color
How much fun are acrylic flatware? The fork looks more like a spork to me, but still, these would brighten up any meal.

television interiors: Gilmore Girls
well, this one isn't a movie, but I've decided to start doing television interiors as well. ABC Family has been reairing Gilmore Girls episodes in order every day, so I rewatched the whole series. Some of them I hadn't seen before. I kind of stopped watching for awhile after she went to Yale. So this interior is from when she dropped out of Yale and moved in to her grandparents' pool house (gasp!) I love how they redecorated it though.
