ok. I've had a love affair with j.crew ever since I was in middle school. Their prices were drastically different back then, but their style has come a long way. I am speechless of their fall collection.

underwater photography

This summer I'm definitely going to have to get a disposable waterproof camera. I think I've only used one twice in my entire life, but these photographs are inspiring me so much. I want to go make my own version. (I wish they had an underwater polaroid camera. I'm sure that's impossible, but I can just imagine the results!)

movie interiors: Great Expectations

I wish this post looked better. My dvd of this doesn't look that great and I really hate it when they use the super widescreen. However, this mansion is absolutely gorgeous. It's another that I wouldn't really want to live in (possibly because it's being overgrown by plants) but I would love to vacation there.

riding in cars with boys

My husband drove me all over town shooting the beautiful blooming trees this weekend. I'm not a very good driver when I'm trying to scout out things I want to shoot. (eyes one the road!) So far I have two polaroids and two finished pieces to show for it. I'm still working on a few others.
I love spring.

movie interiors: A Clockwork Orange

This is my second all-time favorite film. I first saw it when I was a senior in high school and afterwards I was like "what the f did I just watch?" My brother said "just watch it again." Now I don't know how many times I've seen it. Stanley Kubrick is a master of set design. In this film they are so fantastical and bizarre, full of bright color, I wouldn't want to live in it constantly, but I would certainly love to stay at a hotel decorated like this.

Stanley Kubrick used this super enormous wattage light bulbs to set every scene. There's no other light source used in the entire film.
