You will be missed. My favorite role of his was Frank Booth in Blue Velvet which eerily enough, I wanted to watch the night before he died, but my husband didn't feel like it.
A lot of people don't know that Hopper was also an amazing visual artist. He did paintings, photography and sculpture. I have this wonderful book of a collection of his work. He will be truly missed.

summertime
It's officially summer to me now. Just finishing up our first week of art camp. (ahhh!) I am so looking forward to a long three day weekend. I plan on hanging out by the pool pretty much the entire time.

I loved Up. It was such a good sweet movie. I love this Up inspired engagement shoot almost as much.

movie interiors: Rosemary's Baby
I love when movies have a color theme and this one is full of soft yellows, white and hints of navy blue and red. I love watching the transformation from when they first move in (my favorite part about moving!)
does it get any better than dark hardwood floors with white molding?
this is really close to my dream kitchen.
I love the stove and fridge!
The yellow flowery wallpaper is so pretty.
I love Ruth Gordon. "How much you pay for a chair like that?"
oh how I love subway tile.
those doors are so gorgeous.
I want this phone

movie interiors: The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus
I heard some not so great things about this movie, but I just saw it last week and I absolutely loved it. It was so magical and beautiful and the sets and costumes were so fantastical. Terry Gilliam did a great job of filling in Heath's part with Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law without it being confusing. I was wondering how he was going to pull that off. Now I think I have a girl crush on Lily Cole.
I love the old carnival sign!
This set is magically surreal and dreamy.
those clam lights at the bottom of the stage are so wonderful.
I love all of Lily Cole's costumes.
through the mirror.
the living quarters inside the traveling imaginarium.
If I could wear this dress everyday, I would be a very happy girl.
I love how gypsy looking everything is.
everything folds up into this magical mobile home.
with beautiful gold stars painted on the side.
the new imaginarium (which I didn't like as much)
