I guess writing about not having shot anything new sparked my creativity because yesterday, after almost a month, I finally shot two new pieces. I haven't worked with this color in a long time either. Change is good.

encaustic coated
I haven't shot anything new in awhile. I've been in a creative slump and I don't like it. I have however been working on these wood mounted photographs coated in encaustic. I love ho they're turning out. Framing is such a pain and the encaustic gives it a more handmade quality and such a lovely smell. I particularly like how my polaroids are looking using this treatment. I will post some in my shop very soon.

movie interiors: Auntie Mame
This is the longest movie interior post ever. This is the quintessential movie set design and one of my favorite movies of all time. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. The main character "Auntie Mame" redecorates her apartment constantly. each time she changes a theme, they show a shot of the new chandelier/fixture and pan down the staircase. My favorite has to be the second to last one with the fishbowl hanging at the front door. So fun!
